How do you stop acryllic paint from coming off in the wash?

I got one of those ‘paint your own’ sets where you have to paint a mug and then bake it in the oven to stop the paint coming off, but the paint it comes with is only four colours. I’ve got loads of acrylic paints at home, but if I put those on, I’m worried that they’ll come off when I wash the mug. Is there any way to stop it?
