Best way to remove unwanted house paint from utility boxes?

skahhh asked:

Electric Power box is gray metal. I want to repaint/detail it. Cable box is plastic. I would also like to remove traces of house paint from aluminum storm window frames and drip flashing at roof edge.

Any suggestions about how to do this effectively? The house will look a lot neater detailed this way. Looks a little sloppily done in areas.

An oil base paint would be able to sand lightly before doing another coat take it out and metal but youll have hard time taking off the day before priming and metal but if your drip and leave it out and place it out and flashing are concerned youll be fresh.
