What paint do I use to paint the front of the dishwasher and the oven hood?

We just bought new appliances, fridge and oven, but the dishwasher and oven hood work fine, so we kept them. The new appliances are black, the older things are almond. What paint do I use to paint them? Is there paint that can be applied with a brush available since spray can spatter is a mess.
