Is it ok to store house paint in the garage? I live where it snows/freezes intermittently during the winter?

When I moved into the house, all of the house paint was stored in the laundry room but I would rather keep it in the garage. I was wondering if I would mess up the paint if I did. I live in the southern ohio/western west virginia/eastern kentucky region.
The garage is very poorly insulated.

alot depends on how cold it will get , normaly you dont want to store paint where it can get below 50 degrees but if it freezes its most likely ruint.

Oil-bound paint will be OK, however water based paint will freeze and be .rendered useless
TIP When painting in very cold weather, place paint-pot in boiling water, (oil-bound )
